FOR THE YEAR APRIL 2015 TO MARCH 2016
We have the pleasure in submitting the report of the activities of our Association during the financial year ending 31st March 2016.
In order to sort out many problems faced by the member industries in this area, this association was formed in the year 1983. As on 31/3/2016 we have 87 industries as our members (including member industries beyond MIDC area) On behalf of the Managing Committee, We welcome the following industries, who nave joined in PRIA family as member during the financial year.

PRIA continues to take up common problems faced by members with resi,ective authorities and we are happy to mention that PRIA has done remarkable progress inspite of various difficulties. We are enumerating below some of the activities of the Association.
1) PRIA SCHOOL
Our association is running an Engl;sh medium school, which was earlier .,affiliated to K.T.S.P. Mandal, Khopoli, up to 31.03.2007. Since 01.04.2007 school is being managed by our Association. Our school does not receive any grmt from Government. About 2100 students are presently studying in the school.
Our PRIA School is 9001-2008 ISO certified school.
PRIA School students participate in Social / Cultural / Sports activities at District Level and win prizes. School ensures overall development of student’s personality.
The facilities are available up to Xth staLdard. We are proud to mention that 112 students appeared for SSC Exam held during March 2016 and that result is 100%.
On behalf of the managing committee and the members, we express our heartiest congratulations to all the teachers, staff, students and parents of PR1A School.
Parents- Teachers Association is already in existence and periodical meetings are regularly organized.
We express sincere thanks for co-operation of Panehayat Samiti, Khalapur / Zilla Parishati Alibag for rendering advice from time to time.
2)SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
Association has already approched MIDC for allotment of plot for dumping ground. It has been informed by MIDC authorities that MIDC may allot plot for dumping ground but management will have to carried out by group ofGram Panchyats.
This matter will be pursued in Zilla Udyog Mitra meeting.
3) WELFARE CENTRE
The matter has been discussed during the meetings with CEO / MIDC and we are awaiting approval for allotments of plots to Labour Welfare Board for construction of Welfare Center at concessional rate.
As informed by MIDC Authorities, the proposal for construction of cement concrete road from Parade Corner to Siddheshwari Corner has been approved by higher authorities and work is already commenced worth Rs.18,12,34,137/- additional bridge is also approved estimated cost of which is about Rs. 17 Crores.
Association has already approached Railway Authorities for providing shuttle services between Panvel — Apta as per shifts and also for providing station located at Dand Phata on Panvel — Kaajat route.
It is understood from local newspapers that the proposal to provide station at Dand Phata is principally accepted by the authorities. The matter is being pursued with concerned authorities.
6) SAFETY COMPETITIONS
As a part of celebration of Safety Day / Month, various competitions on safety for the employees in Patalganga Rasayani area were organized by PRIA. The events included were: Slogans, Essays, Poems, Posters, Entertainment, One Act Play etc.
The participating industries are also honoured with — memento every year.
7)MUTUAL AID RESPONSE GROUP (MARG) /EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTER (ERC)
Both the above institutions have successfully handled various emergencies during accidents in vicinity. Safety Training programme / Mock Drills etc. have been appreciated by DISH authorities.
8) PERSONNEL FORUM MEETINGS
Monthly meeting of ‘Personnel Forum’ is being held periodically. The Executives in disciplines of HR / IR / Personnel / Admin discuss common issues & share valuable experiences.
9) SAFETY FORUM MEETINGS
These meetings are held bi-monthly. The safety professionals give presentations & share their experiences.
10) MEETINGS WITH POLICE AUTHORITIES
Periodically meeting with Police Authorities at Patalganga / Alibag is being attended by Representatives and problems pertaining to law & order in the area are discussed to findout preventive measures.
11) MEETINGS WITH HON’BLE COLLECTOR, CHAIRMAN DISTRICT INDUSTRIES CENTRE, ALIBAG.
Meetings organized by District Industries Centre — Alibag with Hon’ble Collector of Raigad, Alibag are being attended by our representatives.
The following matters have been discussed / are under discussion during the above meetings.
i) Construction of Welfare Centre at Patalganga by Labour Welfare Board — Re-allotment of plots to Labour Welfare Board.
ii) Roads / Bridge on Patalganga River.
iii) Allotment of plot for Dumping Ground.
iv) Reduction of rates in Truck Plaza for Parking Trucks / Tankers.
v) Providing Dumping Ground.
12) REGIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax)
PRIA has nominated representative (From Bombay Dyeing & Mfg co.) on the above committee. The members are advised to submit their grievances, if any, to our representative to enable him to put forth the same to the concerned authorities during meetings.
13) PRERANA- JALLOSH 2015
`PRIA’ is supporting various Cultural and Social activities undertaken by `PRERANA JALLOSH’ for benefit of Industrial Employees & their families as well as residents in nearby area. The activities include competitions in Music / Mono Acting / Extempore Speech / Story Telling / Dances etc. The prizes are distributed to the winners.
All member industries are requested to continue to contribute financially to PRERANA JALLOSH and motivate their employees to participate in various activities.
14) ANNUAL FAMILY GET-TOGETHER
A Family Get-together of all the members is arranged annually wherein cultural activities are organized & members with families enjoy the occasion.
What PRIA has achieved, could not have been possible without co-operation and support from all its member industries. However, our Association is working under many constraints. For organizing various activities, such as development programs, meetings and other related activities, PR1A needs continuous support from all member industries. The task ahead can be accomplished only with the active and wholehearted support and participation of members. Our efforts are on to induce remaining industries to become the member of our Association.
It is necessary to strengthen PRIA, which is a source of strength to industries in this zone. An interactive contribution to PRIA is contribution to self and it order to get expected results, it is necessary to put united efforts and strengthen the A.sse oi ation.
We make an earnest appeal to all the members as well as non-member units to extend co-operation and to participate actively to build PRIA still stronger. We seek your active participation
PRIA is thankful to various authorities of State Govt., Central Govt., MIDC, MPCB, MSEDCL, BSNL-Raigad, Zilla Udyog Mitra, Collectorate Raigad, Tab clar Khalapur and many others who have directly or indirectly helped our association to resolve our problems.
We are sure and rightly expect to get greater support and co-operation in times to come.
